SOLD - Porsche 911 ( 964 ) Class One Championship Winner 2010 - SOLD
My successful race car is now for sale!! I've campaigned it in the Porsche Club Championship since 2008 (qualifying on the front row and winning a race in my first 3 meetings that year), and this year achieving terrific results, including: more poles than anyone else in qualifying, more race wins than anyone else, no DNF's, and ending the season as Class One Champion by a significant margin.
1989 964 Carrera 2 coupe fitted with an LSD, bigger C4 rear brakes (4 pot) & the later (plastic) induction system (giving more torque). Still road registered.
Engine rebuilt by Unit 11 Porsche last year, tuned to maximum power allowable within Porsche Club regulations it's been run to (262bhp) but capable of more. New engine rebuild to be completed upon sale.
Genuine Speedline split rims (8x17 & 9x17), which sit a little wider without needing spacers (other sets of wheels available too), Pilot Sport Cup tyres, Pagid RS29 yellow pads, built-in PI datalogger, lighter than necessary (ballast used to comply with minimum weight of 1300kgs inc driver). Would cost £45k to build.
Featured in 911 & Porsche World March 2010 issue.
If you want to win, buy a winning car!! Eligible for various other series including CSCC Future Classics in which it should be highly competitive. Could also be used as a very quick reliable track car. £25,000
Dodge Ram pick-up tow vehicle (with LPG conversion) and trailer available if required. Road cars taken in part exchange, anything else considered. For sale due to having a year off in 2011 (hoping to do my helicopter pilot’s licence instead). Google “marcus carniel” for photos and results etc or see www.newworldmotorsport.com and search www.Youtube.com for “marcuscarniel” to see some in car video from a few races.
